As you walk alongside a loved one struggling with homelessness, addiction or who has been incarcerated, the journey can be challenging. You may feel others judge, while telling you to give up on your loved one, you may be exhausted, you may feel alone, you may be at a loss of what to do next. You may not know how to help your loved one, without enabling them. It is easy to get lost in the negative, feeling shame about what is happening, and becoming consumed in the roller coaster of emotions that come along with this situation.
In the same way, if you are the individual, as you transition after experiencing these things, you may feel shame and guilt from the choices that were made during this time. You may not know how to transition, find a job, a home, work with finances, or reconcile with family. You may be feeling emotions that you once numbed.
Compassionate Hearts; Kind Minds provides tools and encouragement to help you through this journey, while showing love to God and to one another. We understand as we, too, have each experienced this journey, either as a loved one, or personally working through these challenges.
